Professional Canvas Printing Services
Frequently Asked Questions

How long will it take for me to receive my print after I make an order?
We usually have prints sent out within 48 hours after the order is confirmed, large prints and custom sizes will take a bit longer depending on the specifics. Shipping is usually 2 to 3 days anywhere in the U.S.

What is the difference between standard inks and archival inks?
Standard inks are dye (water-based) inks that are used most commonly among printing services and are not waterproof. They are not resistant to UV rays and will begin to fade after 1 to 3 years.

Archival inks are pigment (oil-based) inks that are used for museum prints and high end photography prints. They are waterproof and resistant to UV rays. Our specific archival inks will last 100 to 150 years before they begin to fade. Archival inks are more expensive but will ensure a print that will last for a lifetime without fading.

What is the difference between matte and gloss canvas?
Matte canvas is a clean canvas surface that has no glare or reflection which will give a print an artistic feel.

Gloss canvas has a gloss coating on the canvas that resembles the appearance of a photograph which does have a reflection in light.

Most of our customers prefer the matte canvas.

What is a Gallery Wrap?
A gallery wrap is a term used to describe the technique of wrapping an image around the sides of a canvas stretcher frame, this means that the edges of an image will be seen on the sides of a frame.
A normal stretch and mount will stop the image at the edge of the frame and the sides will be white canvas. Gallery wraps are perfect for ready to hang prints and are very appealing without a picture frame.

Does my print have to be stretched and mounted to be put in a picture frame?
No, if you have a frame you can use a foam backing board or a backing that comes with a frame. Prints larger than 16x20 should have acid free double sided sticky tape mounted to the backing so the print doesn't wrinkle, unless your frame has a glass or plexi-glass cover.

A stretched and mounted print will fit right into most standard picture frames or can be hung on the wall without any frame.

Can I upload a digital camera file?
Yes we accept most any digital image file. Just send your file as an attachment in an email or burn a disk and send to our physical address.

How big of a file can I send and how do I send it ?
I
mage files up to 10 megs can be sent as email attachments, image files over 10 megs can be sent through our image upload area, send an email or chat for easy upload directions.

Are custom sizes available?
Yes we can do any size print up to 50" wide by most any length. Call or email us for prices on custom sizes.

Can I get a proof before the print is made?
Yes upon request we will send you a jpeg proof of your pic before it is printed. This is mainly to make sure the colors haven't changed through internet transfer and to see an image enlarged to size to approve image quality.

More questions and answers will be posted when they are asked.
